News, pepper price forecast tomorrow June 23, 2025
Domestic market on June 23, 2025
After a three-day price decline, with a total decrease of about VND10,000/kg, domestic pepper prices are approaching the important support level of VND123,000/kg. Analysts have two scenarios for tomorrow:
Optimistic scenario (60%): Pepper prices may stabilize or increase slightly by 100 - 300 VND/kg in some localities, thanks to early purchase demand from exporting units.
Unfavorable scenario (40%): If selling pressure remains strong, prices may drop by another 200 - 400 VND/kg, but the possibility of a sharp drop like previous sessions is not high.
Pepper price movements tomorrow will be greatly influenced by the collection activities of export enterprises in the first trading session of the week (June 24), along with demand from key markets such as China, India and the US.
International market on June 23, 2025
On the international market, pepper prices are showing signs of stabilization after three sessions of decline. Some of the main factors affecting price trends include:
Abundant inventories: After the harvest, pepper reserves in many countries remain high. Farmers are pushing sales while large orders from businesses are limited, causing an imbalance in supply and demand.
Weak global demand: Countries such as Indonesia and Malaysia maintained high pepper prices but export volumes did not increase, reflecting a lackluster global consumption market. Vietnam, although maintaining relatively stable prices, still needs the impetus from import demand to improve domestic prices.
In addition, pepper prices are affected by exchange rate fluctuations and monetary policies in the US and China – two major consumer markets. If the USD continues to appreciate, pepper prices converted to VND may be under downward pressure.
Pepper prices tomorrow, June 23, 2025, are forecast to stop falling, with the possibility of a slight increase in some areas. However, risks from large inventories and unrecovered global demand are still factors that need to be closely monitored in the coming time.
