BIDV was honored for the 5th consecutive time as the Best Custodian - Supervising Bank in Vietnam.

The Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam (BIDV) has just been honored by The Asian Banker Magazine as “Best Custodian Bank in Vietnam 2025”. This is the 5th consecutive time since 2021 that BIDV has been honored, affirming its outstanding capacity in securities custody and supervision services in Vietnam.

The Asian Banker's Financial Market Award once again affirms BIDV's leading position in securities products and services during the 25 years of formation and development of the Vietnamese securities market. To become the awardee, BIDV has surpassed more than 200 large financial institutions in the Asia- Pacific region with strict evaluation by the Voting Council (including prestigious experts and researchers) on criteria such as: operational efficiency; technology platform; service provision; risk management methods in managing, depositing and monitoring customer assets. 2025 is the year that marks the comprehensive transformation of the Vietnamese stock market to realize the expectation of being upgraded to a market class, while also facing the demands for faster and stronger changes for market entities. At the same time, BIDV has also proactively upgraded and innovated its information technology system to meet market requirements and create favorable conditions for investors.

By May 2025, BIDV had completed the comprehensive upgrade of the technology system, standardized business processes and provided in-depth training for staff to promptly connect to the KRX Information Technology System, fulfilling the roles of a market payment bank and a Custodian - Supervisory Bank according to the requirements of the new system. Thanks to that, BIDV has always received trust and high appreciation from state management agencies and partners in the market.

BIDV is currently the preferred choice of domestic and foreign institutional clients in the field of asset custody and supervision. The bank provides comprehensive, one-stop solutions for all types of securities investment funds and trust portfolios. By December 31, 2024, among domestic custodian banks, BIDV has the largest market share in terms of both number of customers and size of custodian assets (reaching about VND 660,000 billion, growing 21%/year).
