The National Assembly Delegation of Quang Ninh province collected opinions on the draft Law on Press (amended) and Law on Public Employees (amended).

On the afternoon of October 17, the National Assembly Delegation of Quang Ninh province held a conference to collect opinions on draft laws and resolutions to be submitted to the 10th Session of the 15th National Assembly. Deputy Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Quang Ninh province Nguyen Thi Thu Ha chaired the conference.

At the conference, delegates focused on discussing and contributing many opinions on two draft laws: the Press Law (amended) and the Civil Servants Law (amended).

Regarding the draft Law on Press (amended), delegates said that the amendment is extremely necessary in the context of the press strongly shifting to the digital environment. Many opinions suggested the need to add more specific regulations on the management of electronic press activities and content posted on social networking platforms, in order to ensure transparency and accuracy; at the same time, prevent and strictly handle acts of posting false information.

In addition, delegates also recommended clarifying the responsibilities of the governing body in censoring, storing, and securing information; at the same time, perfecting regulations on professional ethics and imposing strict sanctions on acts of taking advantage of journalism for personal gain...

Regarding the draft Law on Civil Servants (amended), opinions focus on diversifying recruitment forms, combining examinations and selection; increasing publicity and transparency in the recruitment process and clearly defining the responsibilities of heads of agencies and units when violations occur. In addition, there should be a mechanism for evaluating and classifying civil servants based on work performance, and at the same time, there should be appropriate treatment and allowance policies for civil servants working in remote areas and in specific fields such as health, education , culture, etc.

Speaking at the conference, Deputy Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation Nguyen Thi Thu Ha said that the opinions raised at the conference will be fully compiled by the Provincial National Assembly Delegation to send to the National Assembly Standing Committee and National Assembly agencies, serving the process of completing the draft laws before submitting them to the 10th Session.
