Located about 36km from the town center, Nam Cang (in Lien Minh commune, Sa Pa town, Lao Cai province) is the most remote and isolated place in Sa Pa but still becomes a tourist destination loved by many travel enthusiasts and visited because of its beautiful, wild, peaceful natural scenery, especially during the rice harvest season.
The rice ripening season here usually starts from mid-August to the end of September. Even the time when the rice ripens and turns the terraced fields yellow in Sa Pa is different, depending on the location and weather each year.
At the end of July, Hoang Thuy Duong (32 years old) took a short trip to Sa Pa to "hunt" for early-ripening rice. This was the second time she had come to Sa Pa during the rice season, but the female travel blogger from Bac Giang still felt excited, impressed and fascinated by the scene filled with bright yellow like the first time.
In addition to visiting famous tourist destinations in Sa Pa such as Ta Phi, Ta Van, Hau Thao, Seo My Ty lake,... Thuy Duong also spent time experiencing the autumn scenery in Nam Cang. The 9X commented that Nam Cang in the ripe rice season has a much gentler and more peaceful beauty than the bustling atmosphere during the time of sowing rice or flooding.
Traveling to Nam Cang at this time, visitors can not only admire the golden rice fields spreading their fragrance throughout the mountains and forests, but also breathe in the fresh, cool, and pleasant air and experience activities in harmony with nature.
The female travel blogger said that this year, the rice in Nam Cang ripened earlier than every year. At this time, people have started harvesting rice. Waves of golden rice in Nam Cang, with a few peaceful houses nestled next to terraced fields, made the 9X girl fascinated, taking the opportunity to take pictures amidst the picturesque natural scenery here.
Each terraced field is filled with bright yellow colors, curving and stretching to the horizon, hidden in the valley of majestic high mountains. Looking far away, visitors can immerse themselves in each cool breeze, inhale the scent of new rice, and fully feel the changing nature of the Northwest.
According to locals, in July and August, the weather in Sa Pa is very cool, with temperatures ranging from 20-25 degrees Celsius. This is also the ideal time for tourists to visit Sa Pa, explore beautiful places and welcome the ripe rice season.
During this trip to explore Sa Pa, Thuy Duong was most impressed with the experience of riding a motorbike, immersing herself on the winding mountain pass in Muong Hoa valley, Lao Chai Ta Van village, Ban Ho village,... Visitors coming here can also choose to travel by car, but "backpacking" by motorbike still brings indescribable wonderful feelings and helps to fully enjoy the surrounding natural scenery.
In addition to interesting experiences, local cuisine with many delicious dishes is also a factor that attracts tourists when traveling to Sa Pa during the ripe rice season. Thuy Duong said that when coming to Nam Cang, she had the opportunity to enjoy some famous specialties such as five-color sticky rice, grilled fish, local chicken by the stream, sturgeon hotpot, etc. Phan Dau - Photo: Duong Duong Blog
