Robusta Coffee Price London August 1, 2025

The coffee market recorded a simultaneous increase in prices across all major trading terms. The 09/2025 futures contract increased by 22 to 3,433, equivalent to an increase of 0.64%.
The following terms also recorded positive increases, including: 11/2025 increased by 3 (0.09%) to 3,348, 01/2026 increased by 19 (0.58%) to 3,313, 03/2026 increased by 31 (0.96%) to 3,274 and 05/2026 increased by 41 (1.28%) to 3,240.
Robusta prices rose to a two-week high, supported by forecasts of dry weather in Vietnam, the world’s largest robusta producer. Latest weather updates showed no rain this week in Vietnam’s main coffee growing regions, raising supply concerns. Robusta inventories tracked by ICE reached 7,029 lots, the highest in a year, as of July 28.
New York Arabica Coffee Price August 1, 2025

Arabica coffee prices on the New York floor recovered, recording increases across all trading terms. The nearest September 2025 term increased by 5.70 cents, equivalent to 1.94%, to 299.10 cents/lb.
Subsequent maturities such as December 2025 and March 2026 also increased by 5 cents (1.74%) and 4.45 cents (1.59%) respectively. Further maturities such as May 2026 and July 2026 also recorded increases of 4 cents (1.45%) and 3.70 cents (1.37%) respectively.
However, arabica prices remained under downward pressure for the previous two consecutive days due to information that the US could exempt non-domestic products, including coffee, according to a statement by US Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick.
Still, no official policy change has left the market volatile. Recent rains in Brazil’s Minas Gerais state (3.5mm, 200% above the historical average) have also eased concerns about drought, which has put downward pressure on arabica prices. ICE-monitored arabica stocks fell to a 3.5-month low of 775,476 bags on July 30.

Cash flow pressure on coffee exporting enterprises has increased due to the temporary 5% VAT policy from July 1, instead of the previous 0%. The Vietnam Coffee and Cocoa Association (VICOFA) has proposed removing exported coffee beans from the list subject to 5% VAT to reduce management burden and costs, as 85% of Vietnamese coffee beans are exported.
