Robusta Coffee Price London July 31, 2025

The London Robusta coffee market on July 31, 2025 recorded a simultaneous increase in prices across all major trading terms. The 09/2025 futures contract increased by 173 USD to 3,518 USD/ton, equivalent to an increase of 5.17%.
The following terms also recorded positive increases, including: 11/2025 increased by 136 USD (4.13%) to 3,426 USD/ton, 01/2026 increased by 117 USD (3.60%) to 3,368 USD/ton, 03/2026 increased by 92 USD (2.86%) to 3,307 USD/ton and 05/2026 increased by 73 USD (2.30%) to 3,250 USD/ton.
The main driver of this price increase came from the announcement by US Secretary of Commerce Howard Lutnick on July 29, saying that agricultural products not grown or produced in the US, including coffee, could be exempted from import duties if the exporting country signed a trade agreement with the US. This policy, typically the "US-Indonesia Trade Agreement" just announced, is expected to boost coffee exports from major producing countries such as Vietnam, Indonesia, Ghana, and Ivory Coast, while reducing consumer costs in the US.
However, the market is still closely watching the possibility of a 50% tariff on coffee shipments from Brazil to the US on August 1. Although traders say the pace of exports from Brazil has slowed, a group of coffee experts in the US Congress is lobbying for coffee to be exempted from the tariff list.
