Pig prices today, July 11, are stable in most provinces, the North continues to be the red zone with the highest price, two provinces recorded a decrease of 1,000 VND/kg.
According to the pig price map on July 11, the North continues to be the region with the highest pig price in the country, ranging from 67,000 - 68,000 VND/kg. In particular, Hanoi , Thai Nguyen, Bac Ninh, Lang Son are the localities maintaining the peak of 68,000 VND/kg - leading the country.
Except for one province – Ninh Binh – which recorded a decrease of 1,000 VND/kg to 67,000 VND/kg, the remaining localities such as Lao Cai, Lai Chau, Yen Bai, Tuyen Quang, Hung Yen, Hoa Binh … all maintained the price of 67,000 VND/kg. The fact that the price of live pigs remained at its peak in the North reflects stable consumption demand as well as the supply that has not increased strongly after the massive sale in June.
High pork prices in the North are helping to keep the national pork price level relatively good, despite localized storms and rains having a slight impact on transportation.
In the Central Highlands region, the price of live pigs today remained stable compared to yesterday. Phu Yen and Quang Binh are provinces with slightly lower prices, ranging from 65,000 - 66,000 VND/kg. Localities such as Nghe An, Ha Tinh, Quang Ngai, Gia Lai maintain prices from 64,000 - 66,000 VND/kg, of which Gia Lai continues to record the lowest price in the country at 64,000 VND/kg. Quang Tri is the only province in the central region to decrease by 1,000 VND.
The South maintained stability with high prices in general. Ho Chi Minh City, Can Tho, Long An, Vinh Long, Tien Giang and most of the Western provinces maintained the level of 67,000 VND/kg, with Ca Mau and Dong Nai reaching 68,000 VND/kg, equivalent to the peak in the North.
No provinces in the Central or Southern regions recorded a decrease – all remained unchanged from yesterday, demonstrating a stable supply-demand balance in mid-July.
