Pig prices continue to decline rapidly in the North and Central regions, while remaining stable in the South. The latest survey shows that pig prices nationwide are fluctuating between 62,000 - 67,000 VND/kg.
On the morning of July 16, the northern pig market witnessed a decline in most localities, bringing transactions to 65,000 VND/kg and 66,000 VND/kg.
Specifically, Hanoi , Hai Phong, Bac Ninh, Hung Yen and Ninh Binh have the highest price of live pigs in the region at 66,000 VND/kg. Live pigs in the remaining localities in the region are being purchased at 65,000 VND/kg.
In the Central region, except for Thanh Hoa and Lam Dong provinces, where prices remained stable, live pigs in other localities all decreased by 1,000 - 2,000 VND/kg compared to the previous day.
Notably, after this morning's adjustment, live pigs in Gia Lai dropped to 62,000 VND/kg, the lowest in the country. Currently, live pigs in the Central Highlands are sold at around 62,000 - 67,000 VND/kg.
Live hog prices in the southern market continued to stagnate this morning. Accordingly, traders in this area are purchasing live hogs at prices ranging from 65,000 - 67,000 VND/kg.
Can Tho, An Giang, Dong Nai and Ca Mau are the localities that are buying and selling at 67,000 VND/kg, the highest in the region. Following closely are Ho Chi Minh City, Tay Ninh and Dong Thap with live pig prices reaching 66,000 VND/kg. Vinh Long maintains buying and selling live pigs at 65,000 VND/kg, the lowest in the region.
