An Giang takes synchronous action and conducts training to combat African Swine Fever on a large scale
The Department of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Medicine of An Giang province, in coordination with the provincial Agricultural Extension Center, organized a series of widespread online training sessions. These training sessions were connected to 102 points in communes, wards and special zones in the province, attracting the participation of pig farmers, along with officers in charge of animal husbandry and veterinary work in localities with household and farm livestock activities.
Through the training sessions, veterinary staff, farm owners and livestock households have been equipped with in-depth knowledge of the symptoms and transmission characteristics of ASF. This helps them to be more proactive in assessing the epidemic situation, raising awareness of prevention and timely handling when the epidemic breaks out. Furthermore, the program encourages the application of scientific and technical advances in livestock farming, especially biosecurity and disease safety farming methods, to protect livestock and prevent infectious diseases from animals to humans.
In addition, the Department of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Medicine of An Giang province also combines widespread propaganda on mass media to optimize the effectiveness of animal disease prevention, especially ASF.
