With current prices, many small-scale farmers are worried because depending on breeding stock and animal feed purchased from level 2 and level 3 agents, losses are certain.
Representatives of some businesses in the industry said that in the context of weak purchasing power due to the shock related to consumer income, new products need to reduce costs by lowering the cost of goods sold. To do that, the features and uses of the products need to emphasize specialization. However, this is a period of great growth for domestic products with prices lower than imported goods.
The impact of the economic recession on pork is no exception. In the context of pig prices still being unpredictable, animal feed prices, although decreasing, are still high, and African swine fever is still complicated, causing many small-scale farmers to not dare to re-raise their herds.
