Currently, traders in Quang Nam , Binh Dinh, Lam Dong and Binh Thuan are buying live pigs at 50,000 VND/kg - the highest in the region.
Pig prices in other localities continued to trade stably compared to the same time yesterday morning.
Currently, the price of live pigs in the Central and Central Highlands regions is around 48,000 - 50,000 VND/kg.
* In the Southern region, pig prices remained stable following the general trend.
Specifically, the price of live pigs in Ca Mau is 52,000 VND/kg - the highest in the region.

* According to the report of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, agricultural, forestry and fishery production in 2023 achieved positive results. Livestock production developed well and diseases were controlled.
It is estimated that the total number of pigs nationwide by the end of December 2023 will increase by about 4.2% compared to the same period in 2022; the output of live pigs for the whole year is estimated at 4,865.8 thousand tons, up 7.2% over the same period in 2022.
The results of a survey on livestock farming trends of 26,800 pig farming households nationwide show that: 2.63% of households plan to expand production, 88.86% of households plan to stabilize production in the coming time, 5.99% of households plan to reduce production, and 2.52% of households will no longer raise pigs.
According to the assessment of pig raising households: 33.73% of households answered that the selling price was higher than the production cost, 48.27% of households answered that the selling price was equivalent to the production cost, 11.16% of households answered that the selling price was lower than the production cost, 6.84% of households refused to answer or did not know the information.
