Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee has just issued a plan to promote communication to implement Resolution No. 57 of the Politburo on breakthroughs in science, technology, innovation and digital transformation in the province.
Chairman of Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee Pham Anh Tuan inspected the Data Integration Center of the Provincial Department of Science and Technology.
The plan not only sets specific goals for each time frame, but also demonstrates clear political determination in "activating" the entire communication system to serve the comprehensive innovation of the locality in the digital age.
Accordingly, by 2025, 100% of agencies, units and localities in the province must develop a plan to implement and maintain a propaganda column for Resolution 57 in accordance with the characteristics of each place. All cadres, civil servants and public employees in state agencies and public service units must be disseminated and thoroughly grasped the core content of the resolution and related documents. Along with that, the province's press agencies are responsible for opening specialized pages, columns and in-depth articles, clearly reflecting the results and effectiveness of the resolution's implementation at the grassroots level.
Gia Lai province also advocates extensive media cooperation, including ordering propaganda content on national television channels, linking program production with strong press units, contributing to spreading the spirit of innovation in a methodical, oriented and most effective manner.
A notable highlight is the goal of forming a specialized media network on science, technology, innovation and digital transformation by 2026. This network includes managers, journalists, experts, businesses, science and technology organizations, along with digital platforms, social networks, community media, etc. This is considered the core force to convey accurate information, arouse creative passion in society, especially young people, students. From there, a long-lasting "culture of innovation" will be created.
Also in the plan, the province requires widespread communication of scientific and technological tasks using the state budget (except for tasks related to national secrets), and at the same time digitizing, storing and exploiting information on the system of the Ministry of Science and Technology. Gia Lai aims to upgrade basic communication infrastructure such as radio stations, television, internet, digital platforms, etc., especially in remote, border and island areas to ensure that people, especially ethnic minorities, have access to modern technological and technical knowledge, change production practices, and contribute to sustainable poverty reduction.
Chairman of Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee Pham Anh Tuan inspected the Smart Urban Operation Center under the provincial Department of Science and Technology.
By 2030, at least 80% of the people in the province will have access to information on science, technology development and digital transformation through the grassroots information system. At the same time, at least 70% of specialized staff working in communications, grassroots information and foreign affairs will be properly trained in digital communication skills and specialized content.
To achieve these goals, the province has set out many key tasks such as: extensive propaganda in the press and social networks; strengthening communication education in schools; promoting communication in enterprises and factories; promoting the role of research organizations; expanding international cooperation... All aim to strongly activate the science and technology communication ecosystem, bringing the spirit of technological reform deeply into the state management to each community.
