According to the plan, the working group will coordinate with the local health sector to carry out urgent tasks such as: environmental sanitation, water source disinfection, disease prevention, drug distribution and public health education . These are important activities to prevent the risk of disease outbreaks after natural disasters, ensuring the health safety of people in affected areas.
The working group consisted of 62 officials, including 2 officers from the Provincial Center for Disease Control and 60 officers from affiliated medical centers. The group was divided into 2 teams, each with 31 people, to support Thai Nguyen and Cao Bang provinces respectively. The Director of the Department of Health directly participated and directed the group's activities from October 11 to 13.

Early morning on October 10, the medical team of Gia Lai province set off to work in the field for 7 days (from October 11 to 17), and is expected to complete the mission and return from Hanoi on October 18.
Based on a field survey and discussions with leaders of the Thai Nguyen and Cao Bang Departments of Health, the Gia Lai Department of Health has proposed to support other provinces with some essential medical supplies, including: 600 kg of chloramin B (300 kg for each province) supplied by the Provincial Center for Disease Control and 4,000 family medicine bags (2,000 bags for each province) sponsored by Binh Dinh Pharmaceutical and Medical Equipment Joint Stock Company (Bidifar).

This is a practical activity demonstrating the spirit of mutual love and community responsibility of the Gia Lai health sector towards localities facing difficulties after natural disasters. At the same time, it contributes to strengthening inter-regional coordination in disease prevention and control and public health care.
