Prices for vegetables sold by farmers to traders include: watercress 10,000 VND/kg; sweet cabbage and green cabbage 8,000-10,000 VND/kg; amaranth and jute mallow 10,000 VND/kg; lettuce 15,000 VND/kg; raw vegetables 20,000-22,000 VND/kg; coriander 25,000-30,000 VND/kg… At the market, cucumbers are priced at 15,000 VND/kg; sweet cabbage and green cabbage 15,000 VND/kg; okra 18,000 VND/kg; winter melon 20,000 VND/kg; fish mint 25,000 VND/kg; lettuce 25,000-30,000 VND/kg…

Mr. Dang Thanh Hung, who owns about 2 acres of land for growing vegetables in Phuoc Hanh B hamlet (Phuoc Hau ward), said: "The weather has a major impact on vegetable yields."

Prolonged hot weather causes vegetables to wilt and lose water easily, but more dangerous is sudden rain, which causes thermal shock, waterlogging of the soil, and fungal diseases, leading to a high rate of damage. This is the main reason why my vegetable yield has decreased by more than 20%, and the limited supply has caused vegetable prices to tend to increase.
