Mekong Delta: Stable prices, Thai durian prices remain high In the Mekong Delta, Ri6 VIP durian prices remain at 65,000 VND/kg, Ri6 type A is priced from 55,000 - 57,000 VND/kg, type B ranges from 30,000 - 32,000 VND/kg, and type C is negotiated by lot. Thai durian prices also remain stable with Thai VIP at 100,000 VND/kg, Thai type A at 85,000 - 90,000 VND/kg, type B at 65,000 - 70,000 VND/kg, type C at 50,000 VND/kg.
Other durian varieties such as Chuong Bo type A are priced from 63,000 - 65,000 VND/kg, type B from 43,000 - 45,000 VND/kg, type C is priced at 30,000 VND/kg. Sau Huu durian is priced from 60,000 - 75,000 VND/kg for type A, 50,000 - 55,000 VND/kg for type B, type C is negotiable.
Southeast and Central Highlands regions: Prices are similar to the Mekong Delta. Durian prices in the Southeast and Central Highlands regions do not fluctuate much compared to other regions. Here, Ri6 durian type A costs from 55,000 - 57,000 VND/kg, type B from 35,000 - 37,000 VND/kg, type C is still negotiable. For Thai durian, the price of type A ranges from 90,000 - 93,000 VND/kg, type B from 70,000 - 73,000 VND/kg, type C from 50,000 - 53,000 VND/kg.
The durian market is currently stable with prices not changing much. Musang King durian prices remain high, reflecting stable demand from the domestic and export markets. However, the prices of other durian varieties such as Ri6 and Thai have a clear differentiation between quality types, creating flexibility in transactions. Traders and growers need to closely monitor the price situation and market developments in the coming time.
