Durian prices today recorded a slight increase in Dong Nai and Dak Lak ; Thai VIP type reached 90,000 VND/kg.
Eastern and Central Highlands
Durian prices in Dong Nai and the Central Highlands provinces recorded a slight increase compared to yesterday, especially in the Thai durian group of type A and VIP types.
In Dong Nai, Thai durian grade A increased to 75,000 - 81,000 VND/kg, while VIP grade reached the highest price of 85,000 VND/kg. Ri6 durian remained stable at 40,000 - 42,000 VND/kg (grade A) and 25,000 - 28,000 VND/kg (grade B).
In Dak Lak, the price of Thai durian grade A ranges from 78,000 to 80,000 VND/kg, VIP reaches 90,000 VND/kg – the highest in the country. Ri6 durian grade A here also has the best price, from 40,000 to 44,000 VND/kg.
The price of Thai durian in Binh Phuoc and Tay Ninh provinces also increased slightly, fluctuating between 75,000 - 78,000 VND/kg (type A), while Ri6 A was stable at 40,000 - 42,000 VND/kg.
West
In the Mekong Delta, durian prices have not fluctuated much. Thai durian grade A remains at 75,000 VND/kg, VIP grade fluctuates at 80,000 - 85,000 VND/kg. Ri6 durian grade A commonly ranges from 40,000 - 42,000 VND/kg, grade B from 25,000 - 28,000 VND/kg.
In Gia Lai, where the harvest is at its peak, the price of Thai durian grade A is recorded at 75,000 - 77,000 VND/kg. Grades B and C fluctuate at 55,000 - 57,000 VND/kg and 40,000 - 43,000 VND/kg respectively. Ri6 durian alone fluctuates from 25,000 - 42,000 VND/kg depending on the type.
Thanks to favorable weather, more sunshine and less rain, fruit quality has improved, helping to increase the purchasing power of traders and support prices to increase slightly in some key areas.
