
On the occasion of welcoming the new Lam Dong province recently, the FaThi bird's nest brand in Hong Thai commune was chosen as a typical OCOP product to display and trade for a long time at Lam Vien Square. The main product lines of FaThi that reach customers here include raw bird's nest, refined bird's nest, and stewed bird's nest. The owner of the FaThi bird's nest brand, Le Truc Quyen, said that these are bird's nests harvested in many batches from 2 bird's nest houses on her 10,000 m2 dragon fruit field. The peak harvest is up to 6 kg; the lowest is about 2 kg. On average, bird's nests are "harvested" about 3 batches each year.
To become a commercial product according to customer needs, FaThi bird's nest after harvesting must go through a strict preliminary and processing process, ensuring food safety quality. The bird's nest harvesting for FaThi is usually done after 9am, when the flock of swiftlets has left the nest. Next, collect all the bird's nests, soak them in clean cold water for 20-30 minutes, then remove and pick out the feathers, dry them, pack them in boxes or steam them in ceramic pots for about 10 minutes before use and distribute them in 70ml bottles to the market.

At the market time in early August 2025, the selling price of FaThi bird's nest products was quite "popular" with prices ranging from 50,000 VND/70 ml jar of bird's nest to 1.3 million VND/100 grams of raw bird's nest and 2.2 million VND/100 grams of refined broken bird's nest. "Customers using FaThi bird's nest products account for a significant proportion of exports to China through distribution links with our business households. Local and domestic customers often come directly to the production and processing sites and order through e-commerce channels and social networks," Ms. Le Truc Quyen added.
Accordingly, with traditional Chinese customers and domestic customers, FaThi bird's nest products were connected right after the 2 bird's nest houses started collecting bird's nests 6 years ago, and up to now, they have always maintained and stabilized output and consumption prices through each period of the annual market developments. This result is assessed thanks to the continuous improvement of technical solutions for production and on-site processing, combined with participation in trade promotion, direct and indirect trade connections of the FaThi bird's nest brand.

Recalling from 2019, Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Vuong and Ms. Le Truc Quyen graduated with a bachelor's degree in food technology and a bachelor's degree in economics , respectively, and said goodbye to high-paying jobs in large cities in the South, returning to the dragon fruit fields in their hometown of Hong Thai commune, starting a business to build 2 bird's nest houses with many difficulties, having to persevere in finding solutions to overcome them, with the spirit of not giving up. In the stage of preparing and processing FaThi bird's nests, the enterprise regularly updates techniques and technology, ensuring the highest quality of products when reaching consumers, especially having to absolutely maintain food safety quality. "Every month, domestic and foreign customers continuously use and give quite positive feedback on FaThi bird's nest products. Thanks to the maintained and constantly improved quality, the FaThi bird's nest brand always creates trust with customers...", Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Vuong shared.
In the coming years, FaThi Bird's Nest will continue to build a production and product consumption chain for bird's nest farmers in areas inside and outside Hong Thai commune in the coastal area of Lam Dong province, thereby fully supplementing the criteria for ranking local 4-star OCOP bird's nest products.
