Domestic pepper price
Pepper prices today in key growing areas remain unchanged compared to yesterday. Accordingly, the domestic pepper price level is from 140,000 VND/kg to 143,000 VND/kg.
In the Central Highlands region, pepper prices today in Dak Lak remained unchanged compared to yesterday, currently at 143,000 VND/kg.
Pepper price today in Gia Lai is unchanged compared to yesterday, currently at 141,000 VND/kg.
Pepper price today in Lam Dong (formerly Dak Nong ) is unchanged compared to yesterday, currently at 143,000 VND/kg.
In the Southeast region, pepper price today in Ho Chi Minh City (formerly Ba Ria - Vung Tau) is currently at 141,000 VND/kg, unchanged from yesterday. Dong Nai is unchanged from yesterday at 141,000 VND/kg.
In addition, today's pepper price in Dong Nai (formerly Binh Phuoc) is unchanged compared to yesterday, currently at 140,000 VND/kg.

Thus, for the whole week, pepper prices in Binh Phuoc remained unchanged compared to last week. In contrast, other localities increased by VND1,000/kg, bringing pepper prices to VND143,000/kg in Dak Lak and Dak Nong, and VND141,000/kg in Gia Lai, Ba Ria - Vung Tau and Dong Nai.
According to data from the International Trade Center (ITC) released by the Vietnam Pepper and Spice Association (VPSA), the US imported 9,183 tons of pepper in June 2025. This figure increased by 14.1% compared to May and increased by 12.3% compared to the same period last year.
Vietnam was the main supplier, accounting for 80.3% of total US pepper imports with 7,372 tons, up 19.5% from the previous month. Other suppliers included India (613 tons, 6.7%), Indonesia (592 tons, 6.4%) and Brazil (325 tons, 3.5%).
From the beginning of the year to the end of June 2025, the US imported a total of 45,443 tons of pepper, worth 343.2 million USD. Compared to the same period in 2024, the import volume decreased slightly by 0.5%, but the turnover increased sharply by 50.4%.
Vietnam remained the largest pepper supplier to the US in the first half of the year, reaching 30,720 tonnes (accounting for 67.6%), although down 12% year-on-year. Other markets such as Indonesia (6,567 tonnes, up 78.9%), India (4,421 tonnes, up 13.6%) and Brazil (2,047 tonnes, up 19.6%) also recorded significant growth.
Pepper price today August 18 in the world market
In the world market, based on quotes from export enterprises and export prices in various countries, the International Pepper Association (IPC) has updated the prices of all types of pepper traded in the international market on August 17 (local time) as follows:
Indonesian Lampung black pepper prices remained unchanged from yesterday at $7,208 per tonne. Meanwhile, Muntok white pepper prices remained unchanged from yesterday at $10,076 per tonne.
Brazilian ASTA black pepper prices were unchanged from yesterday at $5,850/tonne.
Malaysia's ASTA black pepper price remained unchanged from yesterday at $9,250/ton. Meanwhile, the country's ASTA white pepper price remained unchanged from yesterday at $12,500/ton.
Prices of all types of pepper in Vietnam remained unchanged compared to yesterday. Of which, the price of Vietnamese black pepper 500 gr/l reached 6,240 USD/ton; 550 gr/l reached 6,370 USD/ton.
Similarly, Vietnam's white pepper price remained unchanged from yesterday at $8,950/ton.
Overall, last week, the price of Indonesian black pepper increased by 61 USD/ton, the price of Indonesian Muntok white pepper increased by 85 USD/ton compared to the previous week. Similarly, the price of Malaysian ASTA black pepper increased by 150 USD/ton last week, the price of Malaysian ASTA white pepper increased by 200 USD/ton. In contrast, only the price of Brazilian ASTA 570 black pepper decreased by 150 USD/ton.
