According to the Vietnam Trade Office in Japan, Vietnamese lychees have been sold on Amazon Japan.

The deal said that each kilogram of fresh Vietnamese lychee is sold on Amazon Japan for 2,800 Japanese yen, equivalent to about 508,000 VND/kg.
The price for a 5 kg combo is 9,500 yen, or about 1.72 million VND.
Goods will be shipped from June 12 and will only be sold in June and July, the main harvest season for lychees.
The Vietnamese Trade Office in Japan emphasizes the message that 100% fresh lychees from Vietnam, delicious, sweet, juicy, are being distributed by reputable sellers.
This year's lychee output is estimated at about 303,000 tons, an increase of 30% compared to 2024. According to the Department of Crop Production and Plant Protection - Ministry of Agriculture and Environment , Bac Giang is the locality with the largest lychee output in the country with 165,000 tons, followed by Hai Duong with 60,000 tons, Hung Yen and Lang Son with 22,000 tons/province, Dak Lak with 21,000 tons...
This year's lychee harvest time is concentrated in two stages: early crop from May 20 to June 10 and main crop from June 10 to July 25.
Up to now, the whole country has 469 lychee growing area codes with nearly 19,400 hectares and 55 packaging facility codes serving export to markets such as China, Australia, the US, Japan, Thailand, etc.
According to Mr. Huynh Tan Dat, Director of the Department of Crop Production and Plant Protection, lychee is one of Vietnam's specialty fruits. The agricultural sector considers lychee a strategic product, thereby accessing and opening many large markets for this agricultural product such as the EU, the US, China, Australia, etc.
However, lychee exports to the Chinese market still account for a large proportion. Meanwhile, the harvest time is short, only 1 to 1.5 months, so it is necessary to ensure consumption scenarios when lychee is in the main season.
Therefore, the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment is implementing solutions to help lychee consumption be more sustainable, such as: Cultivation processes meeting VietGAP standards, extending harvest time, promoting supply-demand connections...
