Gold prices are heating up again today.

Early on February 7th (Vietnam time), the price of gold on the international market closed the week at $4,968 per ounce, a sharp increase of $148 compared to the lowest point of $4,820 per ounce during last night's trading session.

This recovery is taking place against the backdrop of global gold investment funds continuing to maintain strong buying power despite price fluctuations. According to the latest report from the World Gold Council (WGC), global gold investment funds recorded a record inflow of 120 tons in January 2026, equivalent to nearly $19 billion – the highest level ever.

This influx of capital has pushed the total assets under management of gold investment funds to a record $669 billion and the amount of gold held to 4,145 tons, also a historical high.

Analysts believe that, despite gold prices experiencing their sharpest decline in years in late January and early February, institutional investors and investment funds continued to buy at low prices.

This "buying the dip" behavior stimulates the flow of money from individual and institutional investors when gold prices fall, fueling the current upward trend.
