The price of gold rings also went down. Phu Quy Group set it at 114.6 million VND/tael (buy) - 117.6 million VND/tael (sell), 600,000 VND/tael lower than the end of yesterday each way.
Saigon Jewelry Company Limited reduced 300,000 VND/tael each way, down to 114.4 million VND/tael (buy) - 116.9 million VND/tael (sell).
In the same trend, Bao Tin Minh Chau Company Limited listed plain round gold rings at 116 million VND/tael (buy) - 119 million VND/tael (sell) instead of the previous 116.3 million VND/tael (buy) - 119.3 million VND/tael (sell).
The buying-selling price range commonly given by businesses is 1.5-3 million VND/tael.
Domestic gold prices fell amid a decline in global precious metal prices. Early this morning, gold prices were trading at $3,328/ounce, down sharply from last night's peak amid a rise in the USD.
At 9:00 a.m., the international gold price was trading at 3,295.6 USD/ounce, about 16.8 million VND/tael lower than the domestic gold price.
Domestic gold prices have experienced little fluctuation in July. The lowest price recorded on the first day of the month was 117.5 million VND/tael (buy) - 119.5 million VND/tael (sell), the highest was 120.7 million VND/tael (buy) - 122.7 million VND/tael (sell) on July 24.
Compared to the beginning of the month, the current gold price has increased by 1.7 million VND/tael.
