Early this morning, the world gold price was trading at 3,390 USD/ounce, up 80 USD compared to the lowest level in last night's trading session.
Gold prices rose sharply as investors increased purchases of precious metals to protect their assets amid rising trade tensions.
At nearly 8:30 a.m., the gold price was trading at 3,374 USD/ounce, about 11 million VND/tael lower than the domestic gold price.

In the domestic market, at the opening, businesses listed SJC gold bars at 116 million VND/tael (buy) - 118 million VND/tael (sell), an increase of 200,000 VND/tael each way compared to the end of the previous day.
The price of gold rings also increased, Saigon Jewelry Company Limited set it at 111.5 million VND/tael (buy) - 114 million VND/tael (sell), an increase of 300,000 VND/tael each way.
Phu Nhuan Group set the price at 111.5 million VND/tael (buy) -114.5 million VND/tael (sell) instead of the previous 110.8 million VND/tael (buy) -113.8 million VND/tael (sell).
Previously, on June 2, the gold price initially increased by 300,000 VND/tael, to a selling price of 118.5 million VND/tael, then the price of the precious metal reversed, falling sharply to 117.8 million VND/tael.
