Immediately after the opening ceremony (September 5th), the University of Transport Technology organized a visit and experience for over 6,000 new students of the 76th cohort at the Exhibition commemorating 80 years of the journey towards Independence, Freedom , and Happiness. This activity was part of the orientation week for new students and was also a significant highlight in the program to welcome the new academic year; it was an activity aimed at celebrating the 80th anniversary of the founding of the University of Transport Technology (November 15th, 1945 - November 15th, 2025).
Sharing his thoughts on the significance of the experiential activity for the new students of the 76th cohort, Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Hoang Long, the school's Rector, said: "The visit to the Exhibition '80 Years of Independence-Freedom-Happiness' is an opportunity for students to better understand the history of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam and the glorious milestones in the history of the struggle for national independence, protection and construction of the Fatherland over the past 80 years; the outstanding achievements in all fields that Vietnam has achieved over the past 80 years, especially in the Doi Moi (Renovation) process."
According to Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Hoang Long, the visit and experience at the Exhibition commemorating 80 years of Independence, Freedom, and Happiness is not just an extracurricular trip, but also a valuable practical lesson. This is an opportunity for students to access the great achievements of the nation, thereby fostering love for their school, homeland, and country, as well as aspirations and the will to study and contribute to the development of the nation. The experiential activity is even more meaningful in the context of the school's upcoming 80th anniversary. Therefore, this activity also demonstrates the continuation and inheritance of the school's nearly 80-year tradition of development and growth.
