Gasoline and diesel prices both increased.

Each liter of gasoline will increase by 460-470 VND, and other petroleum products will also become more expensive by 70-380 VND, effective from 3 PM today.

According to the joint decision of the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Ministry of Finance, the price of RON 95-III gasoline (the most common type on the market) increased by 470 VND, to 23,510 VND; E5 RON 92 increased by 460 VND, to 22,360 VND per liter.

At the same time, kerosene, diesel, and fuel oil also increased to new price levels, ranging from 16,610 to 22,750 VND per liter or kilogram, depending on the type.

In today's price adjustment, the inter-ministerial committee continued to refrain from allocating funds to the Price Stabilization Fund and suspended all expenditures from this fund.

Since the beginning of the year, domestic fuel prices have been adjusted 30 times, including 17 increases, 9 decreases, and 4 periods where prices remained unchanged.

According to the inter-ministerial report, the global oil market has risen over the past 10 days due to the risk of a wider conflict between Israel and Hamas, Iran – an OPEC member – calling for an oil embargo against Israel because of the conflict in Gaza, and a decrease in US crude oil and fuel inventories due to increased heating demand.

The average price of refined gasoline is $94.02 per barrel for RON 92 (the type used to blend E5 RON 92), an increase of nearly 2.2%; RON 95 is $98.95 per barrel, a 2% increase. Similarly, other oil products also increased by 0.03-1.35% compared to 10 days ago, with diesel and kerosene at $114.49 and $114.84 per barrel respectively.
