World oil prices
At 6:00 a.m. on October 30, Brent oil price was at 71.12 USD/barrel, down 0.3 USD/barrel compared to yesterday. WTI oil price was listed at 67.48 USD/barrel, down 0.27 USD/barrel.
Oil prices fell following reports that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will hold a meeting to find a diplomatic solution to the conflict in Lebanon.
Reuters quoted Axios as saying that on the evening of October 29, the Israeli Prime Minister held a meeting with the country's ministers, military and intelligence leaders about negotiations to find a diplomatic solution to the conflict in Lebanon.
Meanwhile, falling oil demand from China, the world's largest crude importer, remains a drag on global oil consumption and prices.
Oil prices also limited losses as concerns about a broader conflict in the Middle East eased.

According to Reuters , the sudden drop in oil prices was due to Israel's retaliatory attack last weekend only targeting the Iranian military and ignoring oil and nuclear facilities. This did not disrupt energy supplies.
There are still plenty of geopolitical risks, said Phil Flynn, senior analyst at Price Futures Group.
WTI oil prices could trade much lower in 2025, according to Pickering Holt analyst Matt Portillo.
Specifically, if there is no increase in conflict in the Middle East, WTI oil prices in 2025 will remain at $65/barrel and will decrease if the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries and its allies (OPEC+) do not significantly limit the return of oil supply to the market.
