Successfully rescued 6 people trapped in flood water in Chieng Khuong commune

On August 1, due to the impact of heavy rain and floods, the water level on the Ma River rose, trapping a resident of Quyet Thang village, Chieng Khuong commune, in his house. After that, 5 people from the village went to help and rescue the trapped person, but the water level rose so quickly that the 5 people who came to rescue were also trapped in place.

The location of the 6 people trapped was about 300 meters from the shore, the flooded area was flooded with fast-flowing water, making it very difficult to access. Immediately upon receiving the news, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department, Son La Provincial Police mobilized vehicles, more than 30 officers and soldiers to the scene, using more than 200 meters of rope and life jackets to rescue the 6 people trapped in the flood water. After about 30 minutes, the officers and soldiers successfully rescued the 6 trapped people, ensuring the safety of people and vehicles.
