Stepping into the world of "Lifebuoy," each song is like a heartfelt emotion, touching someone's broken heart, then offering comfort and solace. Listening to "I Wish You Were More Sad," it's the feeling of hitting rock bottom, then picking yourself up and moving on. "Lifebuoy" also expresses the feelings of a girl facing hurt and finding a reason to rediscover herself… And the album concludes with "It's My Fault," with the much-loved lyric: "I lost the game from the moment the spinning top started rolling."
The diverse musical styles in the album are captivating for listeners. The leisurely guitar in "The Man I Love," a touch of R&B in "Say You," or the blend of modern pop and rap in "When That Person Appears"... But perhaps the most memorable are the slow, steady R&B rhythms of "Adding a Scratch." The melodies are soothing, comforting, and healing. This is combined with Huong Tram's powerful, expressive voice and delicate, gentle singing style.
Born in 1995 in Nghe An province, the singer Huong Tram comes from a family with a tradition in the arts. At the age of 17, she made a name for herself by winning The Voice Vietnam. She gained popularity with hit songs like "Em Gai Mua" (Rainy Girl) and "Cho Em Gan Anh Them Chut Nua" (Let Me Be Closer to You a Little More). After her first live show, "Mailbox No. 1," held in Hanoi in 2019, Huong Tram surprised everyone by announcing she would stop singing and study in the US. At the end of 2023, Huong Tram returned to Vietnam and resumed her musical career. Before "Phao Cuu Sinh" (Lifesaving Life), she released several products such as the music video and EP "LaLaLa," the music video "Chi Minh Anh Di Xa" (Only You Go Far Away), and most recently, the music video "Uoc Anh Nhieu Noi Buon" (Wishing You Many Sadness).
