Faced with this situation, Lam Dong province has issued a handbook on "digital literacy" with the aim of popularizing artificial intelligence (AI) skills for all officials and civil servants. This is considered one of the practical steps to reform administration and increase the efficiency of serving people right from the grassroots level.
The story in Phan Thiet Ward shows the clear impact of this program. Nearly 70 civil servants, officials, and leaders of the ward participated in training on applying AI to handle daily work.
After just one day, many officials were able to proficiently use tools such as ChatGPT and NotebookLM to draft reports from data, summarize resolutions, consult documents, and make work plans in a very short time. Many people were surprised by the support capabilities of AI: tasks that used to take a whole day now only take a few minutes, even seconds; errors in documents were also significantly reduced. In the administrative procedure processing process, AI helps to quickly review documents, suggest concise expressions, thereby improving work efficiency and building trust with people and businesses thanks to the accelerated progress of document processing.
Notably, "digital literacy" is not a far-fetched or overly complicated program. The goal is to help all cadres, even those who have never been exposed to modern technology, master basic AI tools. This spirit continues the tradition of "digital literacy" in the past, now transforming into digital literacy, giving cadres practical solutions to work more effectively and accurately.
From the story in Phan Thiet ward, it can be seen that the application of AI in processing administrative procedures at the commune and ward levels needs to be expanded and deployed more widely. When each official is proficient in digital tools, "digital literacy" will not stop at being an initiative, but should also become a long-term strategy for Lam Dong to build a digital government, serving the people effectively in the new period.
