(VTC News) - From the streets, small alleys to schools, shops, all over Hanoi are bright red flags with yellow stars, adding vibrant colors to the city towards September 2.

These days, the bustling atmosphere celebrating the 80th anniversary of National Day September 2nd spreads everywhere, red flags with yellow stars flutter from small alleys to busy streets.

The flag - a symbol of unity, patriotism and national pride - flutters in the blue sky, as if sending and spreading sacred emotions to all generations.

At 5am, Hang Cot Street (Hoan Kiem) is still quiet, overhead are long, bright flags, making passersby look up, their hearts filled with pride.

At the Hang Ma - Hang Luoc intersection, a forest of large and small flags covers the space, creating a vivid red carpet like a picture of patriotism.

The early morning sunlight blends with the colors of the national flag, adding to the autumn colors of Hanoi .

Ms. Mai Chi (Hoan Kiem ward) said: "I went to exercise at 4am through the old streets of Hanoi. Walking through the streets decorated with thousands of national flags, I felt extremely moved and proud to be a Vietnamese citizen."

Also taking advantage of the beautiful moment, Ms. Minh (Hoan Kiem) woke up at 5am to take photos and watch the streets. “My family is preparing to travel on September 2, so we bought shirts printed with the national flag to wear during the trip, to preserve meaningful moments,” she said.

Bamboo blinds bearing the words “Independence - Freedom - Happiness” and many other accessories are becoming popular items on Hang Ma Street.

Every small alley in the capital is also bright with the red and yellow of the national flag.

Colorful banners and flowers are decorated around Ba Dinh Square - where the parade to celebrate the 80th anniversary of National Day will take place.
