The 2025 Capital Souvenir and Gift Exhibition Fair is an important trade promotion event in the series of activities to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2 of the Hanoi People's Committee. The event is chaired by the Hanoi Department of Industry and Trade, organized by the Hanoi Center for Industrial Promotion and Consulting for Industrial Development with the aim of trading in the capital's handicraft souvenir industry. Thereby, attracting visitors and trading with exhibitors and introducing products. At the same time, serving domestic and foreign tourists coming to the capital to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025) and the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025).

The 2025 Capital Souvenir and Gift Exhibition Fair will take place from August 14-17, 2025. Through the event, support for professional associations, enterprises, handicraft production establishments, rural industries, artisans to display and introduce, promote typical handicraft souvenir products, imbued with the cultural identity of Hanoi's traditional craft villages. Raise people's awareness and trust in the historical, heroic, indomitable and creative traditions in wartime as well as peacetime of the people of all intellectual working classes who have brought the country to peace and freedom towards strong development. This is also an opportunity to attract and impress domestic and international visitors with the image of Hanoi Capital "A Thousand Years of Culture - City for Peace - Creative City".

The fair takes place with a scale of 100 standard booths and specially designed booths divided into many sub-areas: OCOP product exhibition space; typical handicraft display area; area for artisans to demonstrate traditional crafts; interactive experience area for visitors; and cultural and artistic spaces imbued with Hanoi's character. The fair brings together many famous craft village products such as Bat Trang ceramics, Van Phuc silk, Phu Vinh bamboo and rattan weaving, Trach Xa traditional ao dai sewing, Chuyen My mother-of-pearl inlay, Quat Dong lace embroidery... Most of the craft village products are imbued with Vietnamese cultural identity, both sophisticated in aesthetics and sustainable in use value; many products have been exported to demanding markets such as Japan, Europe, and the US.

Director of the Hanoi Department of Industry and Trade Vo Nguyen Phong said that Hanoi currently has more than 1,350 craft villages, with craft villages accounting for about 45% of the total number of craft villages nationwide, with about 176,000 households working in the craft. This is an important force contributing to the preservation of national cultural identity, creating stable jobs, and promoting local economic growth.

“The 2025 Capital Souvenir and Gift Fair demonstrates the support of the Hanoi People's Committee in creating a favorable, effective and sustainable production and business environment for businesses, especially enterprises, production and business households, and craft villages in Hanoi and other provinces and cities nationwide. Through the Fair, businesses, production and business establishments, artisans, skilled workers, and handicrafts have many favorable opportunities to promote and introduce typical products to the public and domestic and international customers,” Mr. Vo Nguyen Phong emphasized.
