Member of the City Party Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of Hue City People's Committee Nguyen Thanh Binh; Director of Market Development Grab Vietnam Tran Hoang Tuan attended and spoke at the ceremony.

At the ceremony, 37 Grab cyclos were officially put into trial operation using digital technology via the Grab QR code scanning application. Passengers can book Grab cyclos on the Grab application and be picked up and dropped off at 5 locations, including: The area opposite Hien Nhon gate, near Doan Thi Diem parking lot, Nam Xuong waist parking lot, Nam Thang waist parking lot and Toa Kham boat dock.

Speaking at the ceremony, Permanent Vice Chairman of Hue City People's Committee Nguyen Thanh Binh emphasized: Grab cyclo is a new transportation service. This is a service that only Hue has and is suitable for the goal of green transportation, sustainable smart transportation and is the type of transportation chosen by many tourists when visiting Hue.

Permanent Vice Chairman of Hue City People's Committee Nguyen Thanh Binh noted that, in addition to the support of departments, branches, and localities, each Grab cyclo driver must always behave properly in communication and must always be an ambassador of Hue City in developing tourism services.

The Grab cyclo service not only meets the needs of tourists, but also contributes to spreading the message of a friendly, safe, convenient and sustainable Hue city.

Hue is the only locality where Grab Vietnam operates this service.

Mr. Tran Hoang Tuan, Market Development Director, Grab Vietnam said: Currently, Hue is the only locality where Grab Vietnam operates this service with the desire to both contribute an additional service to the market and bring digital transformation livelihood opportunities to local workers.

After the trial period, Grab Vietnam will continue to coordinate with local authorities to research and expand the pick-up and drop-off points of the Grab cyclo service to provide more choices for passengers, ensuring a convenient experience for sightseeing and exploration trips.

Currently, Grab Vietnam is providing services in 8 countries in Southeast Asia including: Cambodia, Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam.
