Received 353 Vietnamese citizens handed over by Cambodia

On August 15, the Criminal Police Department, Tay Ninh Provincial Police, said it had just completed verification procedures and received 353 Vietnamese citizens handed over by Cambodian authorities.

Previously, at 10:00 a.m. on August 8, at Xa Mat International Border Gate, Tan Lap Commune, the Criminal Police Department, Tay Ninh Provincial Police coordinated with the Criminal Police Department ( Ministry of Public Security ), Xa Mat International Border Gate Border Guard Station and functional forces, professional units of the Provincial Police, and the Provincial Border Guard Command to receive the above citizens.

Most of these citizens are residing, working illegally, violating the law in Cambodia and are being detained.

Through investigation, the above citizens confessed that they used social networks to find jobs and then voluntarily left the country legally or illegally to Cambodia, working in a casino opposite the Xa Mat International Border Gate, in Trapeang Phlong Commune, Ponhea Kreak District, Tbuong Khmum Province, Cambodia. The main jobs were security, ticket control, cleaning and cooking in the casinos.
