Opening of the Tourism Training Course under Project 6, National Target Program on Socio-Economic Development of Ethnic Minority and Mountainous Areas by 2025

On August 15, 2025, at the Hall on the 3rd floor of Building A1, Him Lam Plaza - Him Lam Grand Center, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism held the opening ceremony of the Tourism Training Course under Project 6, the National Target Program on Socio-Economic Development of Ethnic Minorities and Mountainous Areas in 2025.

Attending the opening ceremony of the training course were comrade Nguyen Thi Thanh Chuyen - Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism; leaders of departments and units under the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

The training course was attended by civil servants in charge of tourism activities of the Department of Culture and Society of some communes and wards; representatives of households, managers and workers at homestays and locations with potential for tourism development in ethnic minority and mountainous areas in Dien Bien province.

The lecturers of the training course are Mr. Dao Trong Kien - Training Expert, Deputy Director of the Asian Tourism Development Institute and Mr. Hoang Son Cong - Deputy Director of the Asian Tourism Development Institute, Director of the Retail Startup Support Center, who have extensive knowledge in teaching community tourism, skills, methods of culinary processing and tourist accommodation services; digital technology in introducing and promoting traditional culture and tourist destinations.

The training course was held for 5 days, with the following topics: Overview and standards of community tourism, rural tourism; Process of building and developing community tourism spots, community tourism villages; Skills and methods of culinary processing to serve tourists; Skills in applying digital technology in introducing and promoting traditional culture, tourist destinations in ethnic minority and mountainous areas; Practice.

The training course aims to improve knowledge, service skills and application of digital technology in tourism activities in ethnic minority and mountainous areas of Dien Bien province. Thereby promoting, introducing, improving the professionalism, quality of tourism products and services, extending the length of stay and increasing spending of local tourists, contributing to building the brand of Dien Bien province's tourism industry, meeting the development requirements in the new situation.

At the end of the training, qualified trainees will be granted a Certificate by the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism./.
