Mr. Pham Duy Khanh, representative of the Organizing Committee of the Vietnam Model Awards, said that models have made many contributions to the fashion industry in recent times. Re-organizing the Vietnam Model Awards and maintaining it annually is a way to recognize the contributions of models.

As for model Xuan Lan, the head of the professional evaluation board expressed sadness because models do not have a playground. “By 2023, model competitions will start to return and will be watched, evaluated, and followed by audiences and professionals. However, we or the audience are not the organizers. There are results that are not in line with our thinking. When I saw a senior model being criticized and criticized by a junior model who is more than ten years younger in the profession in a program, I wanted to create this playground even more. Therefore, we created the Vietnam Model Award to honor truly excellent models, based on votes from both the professional board and the audience."

According to the Organizing Committee, the 2nd Vietnam Model Awards will award 7 main categories including: Best Model of the Year, Performance Style Model of the Year, Advertising Model of the Year, Impressive Model of the Year, Inspirational Model of the Year, Promising Model of the Year and Dedicated Model of the Year.

In particular, the Dedicated Model of the Year award is a special award for veteran models who have made many contributions to the profession.

In addition, the Organizing Committee also awarded prizes for other categories such as: Child Model, Teen Model, Professional Model. Each award category will be awarded to a male and female model pair.

Accordingly, the models selected for the Vietnam Model Award will be nominated by the award evaluation board and the models will submit their application documents. In addition to the award evaluation board, the press board and the audience will also contribute to voting for the most deserving models.

Designer Do Manh Cuong also pledged that the Judging Council will select models worthy of the audience's trust and love. The designer affirmed: "The Vietnam Model Awards are certainly to honor the dedication and contributions of models who love and are passionate about the profession."

According to the Organizing Committee, the Vietnam Model Awards Ceremony will take place on January 20, 2024, at Ben Thanh Theater (HCMC).
