National U19 Tournament 2024: HAGL, Hanoi win

The first match of Group B was a clash between Phu Yen and HAGL. Despite losing on the opening day, Phu Yen showed determination to get their first points. Indeed, coach Pham Minh Tuan's players caused their opponents a lot of trouble. During the first half, HAGL did not create many notable opportunities.

Even Phu Yen occasionally had dangerous counter-attacks. In the second half, HAGL played better and their efforts were rewarded. In the 75th minute, Gia Bao accurately scored to open the score for the mountain town team. Forced to attack, Phu Yen exposed many gaps and HAGL continued to score more goals. Bao Duc and Gia Bao scored 2 more times to help HAGL seal a sweet 3-0 victory.

The second match in this group between Dong A Thanh Hoa and Hanoi was tense. In the first half, dangerous opportunities were shared equally between both teams but the strikers could not take advantage. There were even many moments where players from both sides fought fiercely. In the 56th minute, Phu Quy's only goal helped Hanoi win 3 valuable points against their opponents. Thus, HAGL and Hanoi are leading Group B with 4 points.

In Group C, Khanh Hoa had to go through dramatic final minutes against Binh Phuoc . The coastal team took a 2-goal lead thanks to Minh Khoa and Minh Dat. In the 85th minute, Binh Phuoc reduced the score to 1-2 when Ba Vi finished accurately. However, Binh Phuoc's efforts were not enough and they had to accept defeat with a narrow score.

The match between SLNA and The Cong Viettel is considered a confrontation between two championship candidates. As expected by many, the 90 minutes on the field were exciting with high expertise. The joy of victory came to The Cong Viettel when Kim Huy scored the only goal of the match in the 43rd minute.
