Athlete Nguyen Duc Tri won a Bronze Medal in the 63.5kg weight category, age group 17-18.
The 2025 National Boxing Championship for Strong Teams has just ended. The tournament took place at the Dak Lak Provincial Sports Gymnasium. The tournament was organized by the Vietnam Boxing Federation (Vietnam Sports Department - Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism) in coordination with the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Dak Lak province.
There are 48 units with 391 athletes participating in the tournament, including 222 men and 169 women. At the tournament, athletes compete in 54 weight categories, divided into 2 age groups: 17-18 and 19-40. In the age group of 17-18, men have 14 weight categories (from over 44kg to over 92kg), women have 13 weight categories (from over 42kg to over 81kg). In the age group of 19-40, men have 14 weight categories (from over 44kg to over 92kg) and women have 13 weight categories (from over 42kg to over 81kg). Athletes compete in a knockout format.
Bac Lieu delegation participated in the tournament with 4 athletes. At the end of the tournament, Bac Lieu athletes won 2 Bronze Medals, ranking 13th out of 48 participating delegations. Specifically: Athlete Tran Quoc Khai won a bronze medal in the 48kg category for the 17-18 age group; Athlete Nguyen Duc Tri won a bronze medal in the 63.5kg category for the 17-18 age group.
