Director of tea company in Lam Dong arrested for land violations

Today (November 20), Bao Lam District Police, Lam Dong Province prosecuted and temporarily detained Mr. Le Dinh Thuan (52 years old) - Director of Minh Rong Tea Joint Stock Company and Deputy Director of this company, Mr. Nguyen Huu Giang (62 years old) to investigate the crime of "Violating regulations on land management".

The authorities also searched the workplace and residence of the two suspects. There, many records and documents were collected to serve the investigation.

According to a source from VietNamNet reporter , Mr. Thuan and Mr. Giang were accused of being involved in 24.5 hectares of land rented by Minh Rong Tea Joint Stock Company in Loc Thang town, Bao Lam district through the policy of price fixing of orchards.

Regarding violations at this company, on October 23, Mr. Nguyen Trung Thanh - former Vice Chairman of Bao Lam District People's Committee - was prosecuted and temporarily detained for the crime of " Violating regulations on land management".

Recently, on November 19, the People's Council of Bao Lam district issued a Resolution to dismiss Mr. Thanh from the position of Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Bao Lam district, term V, term 2021-2026.

Also related to this case, in mid-September, Mr. Nguyen Ba Dong (former Head of the Department of Natural Resources and Environment of Bao Lam district) and Ms. Nguyen Thi Hien (officer of the Department of Natural Resources and Environment of Bao Lam district) were prosecuted and temporarily detained for the same act.

Former Vice Chairman of a District in Lam Dong Province was prosecuted and his house was searched overnight . Police appeared and searched the house of Mr. Nguyen Trung Thanh, former Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Bao Lam District (Lam Dong Province) after he was prosecuted for land violations.
