Monitoring the collection of information for the 2025 agricultural and rural census

(CT) - On July 3 and 4, 2025, the Central monitoring delegation on the 2025 agricultural and rural census (2025 Agri-rural Census) led by Ms. Vu Thi Thu Thuy - Head of the Statistical Investigation Department (General Statistics Office) inspected the 2025 Agri-rural Census in Can Tho City.

The Central Supervisory Delegation inspected and collected information on the 2025 National Population Census in Co Do Commune, Can Tho City.

The delegation inspected the information collection work of the investigators at a number of households and farms in Thanh Quoi, Co Do and Con Son communes. The investigators used electronic tools such as CAPI (mobile devices) and electronic forms to collect information. At the inspection points, the members of the monitoring delegation promptly pointed out some errors of the investigators and gave suggestions on how to ask questions when collecting information...

Ms. Vu Thi Thu Thuy said: The 2025 Census is one of the most important general surveys of the Statistics sector, conducted periodically every 10 years. The results of the 2025 Census serve the compilation of relevant statistical indicators in the national statistical indicator system; compile socio -economic indicators to serve the assessment of the current situation, analysis of change trends, development of plans and strategies for rural development, agriculture, forestry and fisheries (AFF) and improvement of rural living standards nationwide as well as in each locality. The monitoring delegation inspected the actual collection of information on the 2025 Census in the localities in the early days to promptly grasp the implementation situation, difficulties and obstacles in the implementation process. In Can Tho City, the 2025 Census will be conducted in 3,234 locations, with a survey force of over 3,800 people including investigators, supervisors at all levels, team leaders and representatives of the Steering Committees at all levels. The 2025 Census will collect information for 30 days, from July 1 to July 30, 2025. The 2025 Census will collect 3 groups of information: the current status of agricultural and forestry production; the current status of rural areas; information on rural residents. The subjects of the survey include: workers participating in agricultural and forestry activities; households participating in agricultural and forestry activities; farms, enterprises, cooperatives participating in agricultural and forestry activities; People's Committees of communes, etc.

As planned, the Central Monitoring Delegation on the 2025 Census will continue to inspect information collection in Soc Trang province (old) and Hau Giang province (old) on July 5 and 6, 2025.
