The program was attended by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea to Vietnam Ri Sung Guk; leaders of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism; leaders of Thai Nguyen province, along with departments, branches and many people in the province.
At the opening ceremony, Vietnamese and Korean martial artists brought to the audience the unique martial arts of the two countries, with traditional Vietnamese martial arts and Korean Taekwondo. The Vietnam - Korea martial arts exchange program was organized as a vivid demonstration of friendship, strong solidarity, mutual respect, and the common goal of peace , development and prosperity.

Also at the program, the Opening Ceremony of the 2025 National Traditional Martial Arts Club Championship took place, with the participation of more than 700 athletes, coaches, and referees from 40 clubs in 32 provinces, cities, and industries nationwide; aged from 17 to 60.
This is the Traditional Martial Arts Club Championship with the largest number of registered athletes ever, with 246 athletes participating in the boxing event, 226 athletes registered to compete in the combat event. This shows that the heat of traditional martial arts is gradually growing, constantly exploding in the current period.

The 2025 National Traditional Martial Arts Club Championship is an important tournament to preserve and promote the quintessence of Vietnamese traditional martial arts culture, while creating a playground for exchange and enhancing the martial spirit of martial arts schools and sects of Vietnamese Traditional Martial Arts nationwide. The tournament is also an opportunity for the Organizing Committee to discover and select athletes for the national team.
It is expected that after the tournament, the Vietnam Sports and Physical Training Department will award the First, Second and Third place flags to the three clubs with excellent achievements in each competition. The Vietnam Traditional Martial Arts Federation will award Gold, Silver and Bronze medals to athletes with high achievements; and at the same time, confer the rank of athletes with high achievements in Traditional Martial Arts according to standards.
The tournament runs until April 30.
