(Baoquangngai.vn) - In recent days, the number of people requesting to renew their driver's licenses at the Provincial Administrative Procedure Service and Control Center has increased dramatically, causing overload and congestion for civil servants when issuing and renewing driver's licenses.

The main reason is that people received inaccurate information on social media, specifically the claim that if a driver's license is not renewed before December 31, 2023, a re-examination is mandatory. This led to people with new, undamaged A1 motorcycle licenses still applying for renewals. This resulted in wasted time and money for both citizens and government agencies.

However, current legal documents do not contain any regulations mandating that A1 motorcycle driving licenses (with no expiration date) must be renewed before December 31, 2023. Currently, A1 motorcycle driving licenses remain valid indefinitely. Therefore, people can proactively apply for renewal to the new version, but should choose a suitable time to avoid overcrowding and congestion.
