Given the specific nature of the electricity industry, ensuring the safety of high-voltage power lines and providing guidance on safe electricity use in the community is always a top priority. At PC Hue , engineer Le Trong Phuoc Son is directly in charge of this area – a quiet but crucial task in preventing accidents and protecting people's lives.

Currently, violations of power grid protection corridors or unsafe electricity use in the community still occur, leading to many unfortunate consequences. Aware of this, Mr. Phuoc Son always proactively advises the leadership of Hue Power Company on organizing, implementing, and monitoring electrical safety. He is the main point of contact coordinating activities between Hue Power Company and local authorities and relevant departments and units to widely disseminate information to the community.

Beyond mere propaganda, he also directly compiled lectures, collected images and documents about past electrical accidents, using them as teaching materials and vivid visual aids for officials at the grassroots level. Thanks to this, the propaganda work was not just a formality but also had a strong impact on people's awareness. "To effectively disseminate information, you have to do it like a persistent, steady rain that soaks the ground," Phước Sơn shared.

Based on this idea, Mr. Phuoc Son persistently organized various forms of propaganda: printing warning signs at points where power lines passed through planted forests, distributing leaflets, organizing direct dialogues with people in communes, villages, and hamlets... Printed signs such as: "Please contact us when clearing or harvesting planted forests" helped people proactively cooperate with the electricity sector, minimizing the risk of unfortunate accidents.

Phuoc Son did not shy away from difficulties, participating in the construction of major national power projects.

Mr. Phuoc Son also regularly advises customers on how to use electricity safely, such as: checking the wiring after the meter, avoiding arbitrary connections, using equipment according to its power rating, preventing wires from being damaged or overloaded, etc. These sincere and approachable recommendations from the engineer have helped people raise their awareness and proactively prevent safety risks.

Responsibility in every action and deed.

Not only is Phuoc Son dedicated to his propaganda work, but he is also exemplary in performing his professional duties and participating in emulation movements at his unit. Throughout his career, he has consistently excelled in his work, strictly adhering to labor discipline and internal regulations of the electricity industry.

He is also an active member of the Disaster Prevention and Search and Rescue (DP&SR) task force of Hue Power Company: he was formerly the team leader of the team to repair power grid failures caused by Typhoon No. 3 (Yagi) in Quang Ninh, and participated in supporting the construction of the 500kV circuit 3 power line in Ha Tinh - projects with high technical requirements, complex construction conditions and demanding a high level of discipline and responsibility.

In addition to his technical duties, Mr. Phuoc Son also plays a crucial role in implementing grassroots community outreach programs. He regularly collaborates with local authorities to encourage people to implement the Party and State's policies on occupational safety and hygiene, disaster prevention, and protection of power grid infrastructure. In particular, he actively promotes these practices in schools, helping students understand and develop safe electricity usage habits from an early age.

Thanks to their perseverance and dedication, the number of electrical accidents in the community under the management of Hue Power Company has decreased significantly over the years. People are increasingly aware of protecting the power grid corridor and using electricity economically and efficiently.

With his practical and effective contributions, engineer Le Trong Phuoc Son was awarded by the Provincial Party Committee (now the City Party Committee) as an outstanding individual in the "Skilled Mass Mobilization" movement in 2024; for many consecutive years, he has been commended by the Vietnam Electricity Group (EVN), the Central Power Corporation (EVNCPC), and PC Hue for his professional achievements as well as his participation in emulation movements.
