Maintain the number of candidates taking the national excellent student exam

The Ministry of Education and Training plans to keep the maximum number of candidates registering for the national excellent student exam for each subject team of each unit the same as previous years.

On the afternoon of August 27, information from the Ministry of Education and Training (MOET) said that the Ministry has just announced a draft to amend and supplement a number of articles of the Regulations on national excellent student selection exams, issued together with Circular No. 17/2023/TT-BGDDT dated October 10, 2023 of the Minister of Education and Training (Exam Regulations).

The amendment and supplementation of a number of articles of the examination regulations aims to guide the participating units in registering the maximum number of candidates for each exam team, and at the same time, deploy the work of checking and supervising the stages of the exam in accordance with regulations.

According to the draft, the maximum number of candidates registered for each exam subject of each unit remains the same as previous years. This regulation aims to avoid disruption and ensure the rights of candidates before implementing the arrangement of administrative units according to Resolution No. 202/2025/QH15 dated June 12, 2025 of the National Assembly .

The draft adjusts the examination regulations to suit the functions and tasks of inspection and examination activities during the organization of the exam, according to the provisions of Decree No. 109/2025/ND-CP dated May 20, 2025 of the Prime Minister on the functions, tasks, powers and organizational structure of the Government Inspectorate.

The Ministry of Education and Training requests interested units, organizations and individuals to contribute opinions to complete the draft, ensuring transparency, objectivity and suitability to reality.
