Smart parents proactively train life skills for their children during the summer |
After 4 years of studying Piano at Tien Tien Art Center, Tran Vu Tue Tam, Phan Dinh Phung ward, increasingly loves this art form. |
Scientific studies have repeatedly confirmed that music has a positive impact on the brain. With the piano, children must simultaneously combine their eyes to read the music, their ears to listen to the melody, their hands to manipulate the keys, and their brain to process the rhythm. This multi-sensory coordination helps increase concentration, reflexive thinking, and problem solving.
Experts recommend that children should start learning music between the ages of 5 and 7, the "golden period" for intellectual development.
Ms. Le Thuy Tien, owner of Tien Tien Art Center, Phan Dinh Phung Ward, and also a Piano teacher, said: The long-term learning process will gradually increase the difficulty of the work, equivalent to the training path at a professional school. This creates the premise for children to develop their musical skills firmly.
Learning the piano is not an overnight process and requires consistent practice. A new piece of music can take weeks or even months to perfect. In children, overcoming discouragement and continuing to practice is a vivid lesson in perseverance and discipline.
Tran Vu Tue Tam, a student at Tien Tien Art Center, shared: At the center, I practice 1-1.5 hours every day, and at home, I usually spend 30-60 minutes playing the piano. Every time I put my hands on the keyboard, I feel more comfortable after a day of studying.
Not only does learning piano improve musical skills, it also helps with concentration and learning in other subjects. Mr. Tran Hop Quang, father of Tran Vu Tue Tam, shared: After 4 years of learning this music subject, my child has had many positive changes. His concentration is better. Since first grade, he has been able to sit and concentrate on studying math and Vietnamese for more than an hour without much reminder from his parents. Piano is really effective in helping children practice perseverance.
Not only that, music is also an effective therapy to reduce stress. In Quang and Thom’s family, whenever the children are tired from studying or the parents feel pressured, the whole family asks the children to play a piece of music. The sound of the piano becomes a “medicine” that helps the family space become lighter and more relaxed.
Learning Piano or any art not only requires talent, but also requires investment of time, effort and encouragement from the family. As life improves, many families tend to let their children approach art to help nurture talent and nurture the soul. Piano not only has artistic value, but is also a companion to help children develop intelligence, emotions, personality and life skills.
