Recently, Da Nang has been continuously honored by international travel organizations and platforms. Notably, the globally renowned travel publishing brand Lonely Planet (founded in Australia) announced its list of “The best places to visit in Asia this summer 2026,” in which Da Nang ranked second, after Busan (South Korea), and ahead of many famous destinations in the region such as Singapore, Bali (Indonesia), Shimla (India), Almaty (Kazakhstan), Sendai (Japan), Chengdu (China), and the Altai Mountains of Mongolia.

According to this renowned travel website, Da Nang stands out for its ability to harmonize nature, culture, and modern life.

Da Nang possesses a unique "formula" for attracting tourists: resort tourism combined with events. While previously visitors came to Da Nang mainly for beach holidays or short vacations, the city is now gradually becoming a destination for festivals, music , sports, cuisine, and nightlife.

A series of events are continuously being organized, contributing to a vibrant and bustling atmosphere for the tourist city. In particular, the Da Nang International Fireworks Festival (DIFF) 2026 (taking place from May 30th to July 11th) continues to be a major attraction for visitors this summer.

Along with the domestic market, the international tourist market is undergoing a significant transformation. No longer heavily reliant on a few traditional markets, Da Nang is now welcoming a diverse range of visitors from South Korea, India, Thailand, the Philippines, Europe, and more. With 27 active flight routes, including 20 regular international routes connecting to key markets such as South Korea, Japan, Southeast Asia, and the Middle East, the city is gaining a competitive advantage and expanding its ability to attract international tourists.

The continuous recognition of this destination opens up breakthrough opportunities for the city's tourism industry, while also creating demands for improving service quality, infrastructure, and maintaining the image of a civilized and livable destination. In the context of increasing visitor numbers, the city aims to develop tourism in a more in-depth, high-quality, and sustainable manner.

This requires the city to continue refining its planning, expanding tourism development space towards the formation of satellite destinations, and increasing connectivity between modern urban areas and ecotourism, cultural tourism, and traditional craft villages. This should be coupled with investment in synchronized tourism infrastructure, public spaces, and nighttime entertainment products. The diversion of tourists away from the central area also needs to be more systematically planned; diversifying tourist experiences is also crucial.
