Up to now, the communes of Nui Thanh, Tam Anh, Tam Xuan, Tam My, Duc Phu and Tam Hai have a total of 32 OCOP products achieving provincial star rating, including 4 4-star products and 28 3-star products.

Many famous traditional local products have been upgraded to become OCOP products favored by customers such as "Tam My sticky rice", "Tam Tien anchovy paste", "Co Kieu crispy dried fish", "Tam Loc spiced squid", "Tam Giang peanut oil"...

Mr. Hoang Minh Quoc, Vice Chairman of Duc Phu Commune People's Committee, said that OCOP products play a very important role in developing local industry and handicrafts, contributing to promoting socio -economic development and creating many jobs, increasing income for people.

One of the advantages is that the source of raw materials for producing OCOP products in the above communes is very abundant. In addition, the State actively supports both capital and technology, helping production facilities and households develop and expand production scale. Tam Anh, Tam Xuan and Nui Thanh communes have built 3 OCOP sales points...

In addition to the achievements, the production and consumption of OCOP products currently still face some difficulties and limitations. For example, many entities cannot ensure continuous production of OCOP products due to lack of raw materials and other factors.

In addition, the re-evaluation of OCOP products when the 3-year expiration date has not been done in a timely manner, affecting product production. As of 2025, the communes of Nui Thanh, Tam Anh, Tam Xuan, Tam My, Duc Phu, and Tam Hai have 9 expired OCOP products that need to be re-evaluated and recognized.

Currently, after implementing the 2-level local government model, the communes of Nui Thanh, Tam Anh, Tam Xuan, Tam My, Duc Phu, and Tam Hai have gradually overcome difficulties, strived to maintain their brands, and continued to invest in developing OCOP products.

According to Mr. Nguyen Minh Nhut, an expert of the Economic Department of Nui Thanh Commune, the locality continues to promote the OCOP Program on mass media so that everyone can actively participate. At the same time, it widely promotes the products and promptly directs the removal of difficulties and obstacles arising in the process of implementing the OCOP product production process.

In addition, the specialized sector provides timely consulting on building and selecting OCOP product ideas and provides training and guidance to entities in developing production and business plans for products; consolidates, upgrades, and establishes new economic organizations participating in the OCOP Program.

Develop OCOP products based on prioritizing products using local materials, focusing on building stable raw material areas to produce OCOP products regularly and continuously. In particular, pay attention to supporting products produced according to VietGap, Global GAP, Organic, HACCP, ISO standards...
