Welcoming the delegation at Noi Bai International Airport were representatives of the Hanoi Department of Education and Training and leaders of Hanoi-Amsterdam High School for the Gifted.
In addition to the International Mathematical Olympiad, International Informatics Olympiad, International Physics Olympiad... for the first time, the International Artificial Intelligence Olympiad was held in Burgas, Bulgaria with the participation of 40 teams from more than 30 countries and territories.
Participating in this competition, Vietnam has 2 representatives, which are the teams that won first prize in the national final round.
In which, Vietnam team 1 comes from Hanoi -Amsterdam High School for the Gifted. This is team T-AMS1, which is the most outstanding students in the school's AzureAms programming club. The team members are: Vu Le Anh Duc (grade 11 Physics 1), Ngo Viet Anh (grade 11 Oxford), Nguyen Dang Khiem (grade 11 Cambridge) and Pham Nam Khanh (grade 10 IT).
At the International Artificial Intelligence Olympiad held from August 9 to 16, Vietnam Team 1 won a Bronze Medal in the Science round and a Bronze Prize in the Practical round.
Along with the achievements of Team Vietnam 2, the students in the teams helped Vietnam rank 6th in the world on the medal table after Russia, Poland, Singapore, China, and Hungary.
Vu Le Anh Duc, captain of T-AMS1, said: We are very proud to represent Vietnam at the International Artificial Intelligence Olympiad. The advantage of our team is that each member comes from a different class and has different strengths. At the recent competition, we tried our best to overcome the difficult exams.

Ngo Viet Anh, a member of the team, shared: The AI Olympiad is a useful playground, giving us the opportunity to experience, unleash our creativity and passion for AI. During the competition, we had the opportunity to interact with friends from all over the world and learn many useful lessons.

To prepare for the exam, the school formed a team of 4 students with basic knowledge of AI, from the school's AzureAms programming club. They focused on supplementing and consolidating their knowledge. Because they needed to update a lot of knowledge about AI, the school contacted university students and lecturers for support and help.
