Korean golfer Park Jung Min wins first VGA Development Tour title of his career

Park Jung Min won stage 1 of TKG Jeongsan Challenge.

On May 7, the final round of stage 1 of the TKG Jeongsan Challenge took place at Taekwang Jeongsan Country Club in ideal weather conditions.

After a dramatic round, Park Jung Min won with a total score of (-1), officially crowned the champion of stage 1 of TKG Jeongsan Challenge.

Park Jung Min entered the final round with a total score of (-2), 1 stroke behind the leader of his compatriot Sin Dong Min. However, Sin Dong Min's slight advantage was quickly erased.

Playing confidently in the first 9 holes, Park Jung Min recorded 3 birdies and 1 bogey, raising his total score to (-4). Meanwhile, Sin Dong Min could not take advantage when he kept his score at (-3) after 2 birdies and 2 bogeys.

The balance was restored at hole 10 when Sin Dong Min scored another birdie to bring the total score to (-4).

Tran The Bao won the title of Best Amateur.

The turning point of the championship race came at hole 13. Here, Sin Dong Min had an unfortunate triple bogey, then continued to have consecutive bogeys at holes 14 and 15. Within just 3 holes, Sin Dong Min dropped 5 under par and fell behind in the championship race.

Park Jung Min also had difficulty in the final holes, when he made 3 consecutive bogeys from holes 15 to 17, but it was still enough to secure the victory with a difference of 2 strokes.

The victory is a worthy result for Park Jung Min's tireless efforts over the past time, and is also the first VGA Development Tour title in his career.

Meanwhile, the unfortunate loss of points in the last holes of the day caused Sin Dong Min to finish the tournament with a total score of (+1), finishing in a tie for second place with Park Sang Ho, Tran The Bao, Joey Troy, Nguyen Huu Quyet and Kim Yong Rok.

Notably, Tran The Bao was the best amateur athlete of the tournament and won the title of Best Amateur of the tournament. Nguyen Huu Quyet was the only professional athlete from Vietnam to make it into the top 5 on the rankings.
