Accordingly, Google will collaborate with several partners such as Samsung, Gentle Monster, and Warby Parker to develop this product. Google's AI glasses will support audio playback, allowing users to converse with the Gemini artificial intelligence assistant.

Additionally, Google also stated that there will be glasses with screens inside the lenses, displaying information for users such as directions and language translations. The first glasses are planned to launch next year, but Google has not yet revealed the device's design.

In a filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), Warby Parker stated that the first pair of glasses developed in collaboration with Google will launch in 2026. These glasses will be built on the Android XR platform, the operating system developed by Google for smart glasses.

In May, Google co-founder Sergey Brin shared that he had learned from the company's past mistakes in developing a smart glasses.

"Back then, AI was less advanced, and we lacked experience in the supply chain, which made the product expensive. In today's AI world , these glasses can do many things to assist you without distracting you," Brin said.

According to CNBC , the smart glasses market is becoming increasingly vibrant, led by Meta. The new generation Meta Ray-Ban glasses, which integrate the Meta AI artificial intelligence assistant, have achieved unexpected success.

Most recently in September, Meta also introduced a smart glasses device with an integrated display. The device allows users to view content such as messages, images, and subtitles directly through a small screen integrated into one side of the lens.
