In a filing with the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), Warby Parker said the first glasses in collaboration with Google are expected to launch in 2026. The glasses will be built on the Android XR platform, the operating system developed by Google for smart glasses.

In May, Google co-founder Sergey Brin shared that he had learned from the company's previous mistakes in developing smart glasses.

"At that time, AI was not yet advanced, and we also lacked experience in the supply chain, which made the product expensive. In today's AI world , this glass can do many things to support you without losing focus," Brin said.
