The AI & Digital Transformation Technology Forum "GStar 2026 - AI & Humanity," organized by the New Turing Institute (NTI), will officially take place on May 29th in Ho Chi Minh City. The event is expected to attract 1,000 in-person attendees.

Against the backdrop of Asia's accelerating AI capabilities driven by a young workforce, the event aims to foster strategic collaboration between businesses and academia in the region.
With a human-centered theme, GStar 2026 aims to apply artificial intelligence to improve productivity, work quality, and life across the Asia-Pacific region.
The biggest draw of this one-day program comes from its 15 leading speakers and experts, as well as the participation of representatives from renowned global technology corporations.
Notable speakers included: Dr. Thang Luong: Principal Scientist & Research Director at Google DeepMind; Dr. Ed H. Chi: Vice President of Research at Google DeepMind; Dr. Hung Bui: Vice President of Technology at Qualcomm AI Research; and Marc Woo: Managing Director of Google Vietnam and Asia Pacific.
In addition, the event was attended by leaders of domestic and international corporations and startups.
GStar 2026 will include presentations and three discussion sessions. The program goes beyond theory, focusing on the realization of AI applications and talent development, creating strategic bridges between businesses, innovators, investors, and policymakers. At the event, AI applications in biotechnology, healthcare , and Fintech will be showcased visually.
Emphasizing the forum's vision, Dr. Thang Luong stated: "GStar 2026 is a significant milestone for the Asia-Pacific AI ecosystem in reshaping how AI serves humanity." He expects the event to contribute to redefining Asia's role from merely applying technology to becoming a global leader in artificial intelligence.
Sharing this view, Professor Po-Shen Loh stated that in the AI era, the core values of humanity lie in flexible thinking, empathy, and ethical responsibility. GStar 2026 will be a forum for discussing how to cultivate these qualities to ensure that technological breakthroughs always serve the best interests of humankind.
GStar 2026 is a continuation of the annual AI event series organized by NTI since 2018. Prior to that, AI Day 2023 attracted over 1,300 people with the appearance of OpenAI CEO Sam Altman, and GenAI 2024 attracted over 800 people with the participation of Jeff Dean - Google's Chief Scientist.
