DNVN - In the context of economic fluctuations, accessing credit capital is a difficult problem for many SMEs and startups. Although Ha Nam has policies to attract investment, businesses still face great challenges. As the "lifeblood" of the economy, bank capital has not really reached the right place, causing many businesses to "thirsty for capital" to maintain and expand production and business.
According to statistics, in 2024, thenumber ofnewly registered enterprises in Ha Nam province is 928enterprises witha total registered capital of 11,912 billion VND, an increase of 14.4% compared to 2023, attracting 89investment projects , including: 29 FDI projects with a registered capital of 252.9 million USD, 60 domestic projects with a registered capital of 10,870.7 billion VND.
However, in recent times, many businesses have encountered difficulties in accessing credit capital. Many businesses borrow capital based on real estate mortgages, hire-purchase, and use of assets formed from capital. Real estate prices have fluctuated, making it difficult for small businesses and craft village businesses to access loans, which only meet a portion of their needs even though the businesses have good business plans, good markets, and opportunities to expand and develop.
Many enterprises under the Ha Nam Province Business Association have sent a document requesting banks to review and evaluate their production and business plans in order to support and facilitate businesses to get unsecured loans. At the same time, banks also need to have a policy to increase the credit limit for working capital loans for businesses by unsecured contracts to ensure a stable source of working capital for production and business.
Many garment manufacturing enterprises in the area have recently had to cut a quarter of their workforce due to a serious decline in orders. Faced with the problem of balancing costs, many enterprises have reduced working hours and are not recruiting new staff. In addition to the lack of orders, companies are also struggling because of small orders but low prices, and fierce competition with other units.
Many businesses have difficulty accessing credit capital.
Businesses are facing such difficulties, but accessing credit funds is not easy. Although there are preferential loan packages, many businesses reflect that the actual interest rate is still high compared to the profitability. In addition, the accompanying costs such as file appraisal fees, loan insurance, etc. also create additional financial pressure. The loan approval process often takes a long time because the bank needs to carefully check legal documents, business plans, cash flow, etc. This makes it difficult for businesses that need capital urgently to seize business opportunities.
To solve this problem, Ms. Le Thi Kim Dung - Director of the Vietnam Bank for Social Policies (VBSP) of Ha Nam province, affirmed that she will continue to promote a proactive and active role in advising the provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee and local Party Committees and authorities to effectively implement policy credit programs in the area.
Ms. Dung also added that the provincial People's Credit Fund will continue to promote communication and propaganda activities so that people can clearly understand preferential credit programs, thereby improving access to loans. In particular, organizing direct dialogue sessions in communes and wards to listen to opinions and remove difficulties in the loan process. Applying information technology, simplifying administrative procedures to make disbursement faster and more convenient. Closely monitoring the lending process, ensuring that policy credit capital reaches the right beneficiaries.
"In the coming time, the Ha Nam Provincial Social Policy Bank will always accompany the authorities at all levels, contributing to the successful implementation of the goals of sustainable poverty reduction, job creation, social security and new rural construction," Ms. Le Thi Kim Dung pledged.
